Junior Software Developer

Adeptus Solutions, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and eager Junior Software Developer with an interest in DevOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to join our engineering team. As a junior developer, you will work alongside experienced team members to support the development and deployment of software solutions, gaining hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and cloud infrastructure management.

You will have the opportunity to learn from senior engineers, develop your skills in DevOps practices, and contribute to building scalable, reliable systems:

• Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds and deployments
• Help automate repetitive tasks, deployments, and other processes to improve efficiency using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar
• Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation, including setup guides, runbooks, and process workflows
• Work with senior developers and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth integration of new code and features into production environments
• Learn to work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications
• Assist in managing cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy and scale applications
• Help set up monitoring tools and assist in identifying and resolving issues in development and production environments
• Document processes, configurations, and code to ensure that team members can easily reference and maintain systems
• Continuously improve your knowledge of DevOps best practices and tools, and actively seek opportunities for growth within the company

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Zero to two years of experience in software development or DevOps-related roles (internships, personal projects, or academic experience will also be considered)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js)
• Experience writing or maintaining internal documentation, developer wikis, or README files
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and GitHub/GitLab
• Understanding of the basics of CI/CD and its importance in modern software development
• Some exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (through academic work, personal projects, or internships)
• Comfort with writing simple scripts (in Bash, Python, etc.) to automate tasks
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas and challenges, both written and verbal
• A passion for learning new tools, technologies, and best practices in the DevOps/DevSecOps field
